London Job Agency
What exactly does a Recruitment agency in the UK do?
A UK Recruitment Agency places people, jobseekers in jobs advertised by their customers, employers.
This might involve sending the candidate for an interview at the customers premises or sending the customer the resume of the candidate or even selecting the right person for the job themselves - depending on the job.
How does this agency make it's money?
Recruitment agencies based in the UK invoice their customers for the service they offer them.
Most agencies in the UK will invoice a % of the candidates starting remuneration for placing that person in the job. EG If a person is placed by the agency and starts on a yearly packaged of £10,000 - the agency could invoice 5% of this, making their profit £500.
If an agency in the UK is placing a temporary employee, they could charge an extra rate per hour and them remunerate the temp worker themselves. EG The agency may invoice and hourly rate of £10 to the employer, and then remunerate the temp worker at an hourly rate of £5.
